Daring the Dream
What if, with the snap of a finger, you believed your best dream could come true?
What if all your inhibitions fell away, and fear turned to laughter?
What if you actually seized the vision and the day and ran full out with them?
Oh, the hills you could climb! Oh, the colors you could use to paint the world!
Here! Take it! Own it! Be it! It’s all for you, you know. All for you.
Crystallizing Dreams

Now is the time for focus, for crystallizing dreams. Now: reach for the looming possibilities, the taunting desires. Claim them, name them, hold the vision of them fast.
Shine on them the light of your passion and daring. Let their structure and details be revealed.
Taste the reality of their potential. Adopt their fulfillment as your mission, your quest. Let nothing deny you. Give way to no hesitation or doubt.
Say, “This is mine. This shall be.” Then vow to make it so, regardless of obstacles, whether you know the way or not. The way will appear as you walk it.
Trust. Dare. Crystallize the dream. Live it. Know its joy.
The Cure for Boredom
“The cure for boredom is curiosity. There is no cure for curiosity.” ~Dorothy Parker
Here comes Curiosity again, her knapsack of What-Ifs slung over her shoulder. She’s an insatiable one, I tell you, poking her fingers in every crack, her head through every door.
“How does it work? Why does it do that? What would happen if?” There’s just no stopping her, believe me. Toss her an answer and it only makes her hungry for more.
She pounces like a cat on every scrap that catches her interest. She has no fear and cares nothing for boundaries or mundane opinions.
She takes things to their limits and then pushes them over the edge just to see what will happen. She experiments with everything, dares the impossible, and can drag opportunity from places that others never see.
“How will you know if you don’t try?” she asks, laughing.
I love it when she comes by. If you’re ever bored, have her over for dinner.
Unlock Your Dreams
Life is brief. Unlock your dreams.
Don’t shut them behind the gate of well-designed excuses waiting for some magic tomorrow. Unchain them today; set them free.
Write a new plot for your story, beginning with today. Write yourself a big sense of “What if?” Spice up the first chapter with a sense of play and daring. Hear yourself say, “Bring it on, world; I’m up for it.” Watch yourself make the first move.
See yourself lovin’ it, asking what comes next, finding the answer, moving farther, deeper, faster into your dream.
This here is a jamming world. It ain’t no place for sissies. If you lock up your dreams behind I can’ts and what-will-they-thinks, those dreams are going to suffocate in the darkness and take the best of you with them. Better to set them loose, ride them into the wind, drinking the thrill of the unknown, watching it bend to your will and desire.
Don’t know what your dream is? Make one up. Bring it to life, and life will bring better dreams, higher ones, truer ones right to your doorstep and ring your bell. Even if your dream is to find your dream, give it all you’ve got, and life will give back to you in return. That’s the way it works.
Don’t just sit there, behind your wall, behind your ornate gate of excuses. Get out there and grab life. Find out what turns you on and live it. Write that bold new plot. Unchain those dreams. Fly.
Dare to Put Your Dazzle On
.
Dare to put your dazzle on
Your clown shoes
Your big schmooze
Your can do’s,
And let it all hang out.
Hitch your wagon to a star
Open up your cookie jar
Play it on a steel guitar
And let it all hang out.
Ain’t no point in dreaming small
Grab it all; have a ball
Write it on the party wall
And let it all hang out.
Risk some sheer audacity
Show ‘em your voracity
Your limitless capacity
And let it all hang out.
Sing it loud and sing it strong
It’s your own beat and your own song
No way you can do it wrong
So let it all hang out.
Make your wishes all come true
There is nothing you can’t do
Put your coin right square on you
And let it all hang out.
