Temptation

The trees span over two hundred acres in beautifully manicured rows, ribboning the rolling hills as far as the eye can see.
Branches that were still bare six months ago are heavy now with the offspring of a million delicate blossoms, each one enough to make our father, Adam, fall.
The fragrance alone is heaven, the hue so deep and dazzling against the leaves’ dark green. The roundness begs for a palm to cup it, to lift it to the lips. Who could resist?
Not I. Not even knowing what I know.
Some temptations, forgive us, are simply more than a mere human mortal can withstand.
