Softly, Sweet One, Farewell

Oh how lovely were her summer days, when she dressed with such style in the season’s sky colors, her laughter pealing like little bells across the grass and blessing neighbors far and wide.
She was a giver of joy, that one, darting through the days like a swift bird, her soul as sweet as clover.
And oh, the stories she told on those long afternoons and the countless gifts she gave, wrapped in the fancy ribbons of her ever-fragrant love.
Even when the autumn came and she faded, she was beautiful. Even when her stories had forgotten endings, they were lilting, leaving little wisps of happiness behind.
